Thumbs

I've been thinking a little bit about opposable thumbs lately. It seems strange to me that more animals don't have them. I mean, they're such handy (pardon the pun) things. You'd think by now that every cat and dog would be sporting one. I guess they're getting by pretty well without them. Still, imagine how weird it would be to see your cat walk up to its food dish, pick up a single piece of cat food and pop it in its mouth like a Tic Tac.

I read somewhere that the Koala has an opposable toe on each foot and two opposable digits on each hand. If you could teach a koala to text, I bet it would be able to do it really fast.
