My Right Ear
I wish I were more symmetrical. To be more precise, I wish my right ear were more like my left ear. While I'm wishing, I also wish my ears were level with respect to my nose. Now that I regularly wear reading glasses, I've noticed that the metal frames get bent out of shape as I try to get them to rest evenly on my ears and still appear level on my face. The plastic frames eventually just break.
But, back to my right ear. There's something not so right about it. When I go running, I wear earphones with little clips that fit over my ears to hold them in place (the earphones, not my ears). These were a recent addition, necessitated by the fact that ear buds don't stay in my right ear. Even with the clips the right bud pops out and hovers just next to my ear. The left ear is fine and never gives me trouble.
It's odd that if I just put a pair of earphones on they feel fine and both sides seem stable. It's only when I run that the right side works itself out. Perhaps it's not my ear at all - perhaps I am somehow contorting my face or jaw and pushing the ear bud out. It would not be the first time I was doing something weird with my face and not realizing it.

I have never noticed anything strange about your right ear. Maybe your nose is a little too high or low and that's why your glasses do not fit correctly.
No, nose height would have no impact on eyeglass levelness. This is an ear problem, plain and simple. When I ran today I tried to pay attention to whether I was clinching my jaw weird or doing anything else that might interfere with earphone placement. I didn't notice anything (except the earphone popping out within 5 minutes).
Maybe you have a weird gait when you run?
I hate to brag, but I've had more than one person complement me on my form when I run. Nothing weird about it, sister.
You are not alone--I have one ear (right, I think) that does not play nice with ear buds, either. Even the buds with the over-the-ear hooks pop right out within minutes (even when I'm sitting). Also, my ears are not symmetrical on my head--when my glasses are adjusted to fit correctly and appear level on my face, they are horribly unlevel if I take them off and set them on a hard surface. While aggravating, it is perfectly "normal" I have been told. (See also: one foot bigger than the other, dominant eyeball needing stronger lens prescription, etc.)
I HATE ear buds and can never get them to stay in. I like to think it's a sign of good breeding or intelligence.
